Will you remove my Mugshot? Can I pay you to take it down?<\/h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t

This is a common question with a very definitive answer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2017, the Ohio Revised Code added a part B to ORC Section 2927.22. It reads as follows: \u201c(B) No person engaged in publishing or otherwise disseminating criminal record information through a print or electronic medium shall negligently solicit or accept from a subject individual the payment of a fee or other consideration to remove, correct, modify, or refrain from publishing or otherwise disseminating criminal record information.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The term \u201cother consideration\u201d is a catch-all term for favors of any kind.<\/span><\/p>\n

Therefore, by Ohio Law, we cannot remove a published mugshot.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

We had our MARCS Tower receiving system custom designed just for us. As with most news agencies, the quality and features of the system were intended to remain private. Due to the lack of quality of apps like Broadcasify, we felt that the information should be made available to the public.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The equipment required a significant initial investment, as well as a monthly service fee. Due to this, a small fee is charged. A high-end scanner that costs $800 would not be able to provide as much information both in real-time and in the archives as this scanner. Quite literally, it’s one-of-a-kind.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
