A report of a possible toddler overdose at Southern Ohio Medical Center sent deputies rushing to track down what happened\u2014and who was responsible.<\/p>\n
Officers were called to the ER after concerns were raised that a young child may have been exposed to drugs.<\/p>\n
Deputies then responded to the apartment where the child lived. A woman at the residence gave officers permission to enter and search for the child\u2019s mother.<\/p>\n
As the investigation unfolded, another woman returned to the hospital, where officers read her Miranda rights.<\/p>\n
Deputies also located the child\u2019s mother and transported her to the hospital.<\/p>\n
During the investigation, police took Randi Jordan<\/span><\/span> into custody.<\/p>\n She was arrested on charges of possession of drugs, possession of criminal tools, and tampering with evidence, and booked into the Scioto County Jail.<\/p>\n Jordan later appeared in Portsmouth Municipal Court, where a preliminary hearing was set for April 9.<\/p>\n Court records show she has prior arrests including escape, drug instruments, and disorderly conduct.<\/p>\n The condition of the child has not been released.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" A report of a possible toddler overdose at Southern Ohio Medical Center sent deputies rushing to track down what happened\u2014and who was responsible.
