Two packed days of police, fire, and EMS activity saw 127 separate calls dispatched across Scioto County. From prowlers and structure fires to overdoses, road hazards, and even a shooting, first responders had their hands full this past Saturday and Sunday.
Since early 2025, the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office has stopped providing detailed daily call logs to Scioto County Daily News, limiting our ability to bring you full reports. Still, we remain committed to transparency and continue to share everything we can.
🚑 Medical and Fire Calls Dominate
June 21:
- 23 EMS calls, including emergency squads dispatched to Gervais Rd, Old Scioto Trail, Dogwood Ridge Rd, and Blue Run County Rd.
- A structure fire was reported on Gallia Pike, and a vehicle fire on River St.
- Other incidents included a 911 hang-up on Carty St and a shooting on Great Meadow Rd.
June 22:
- Over 30 EMS calls, with transports from Tatman-Coe Rd, Fairview Ave, Big Run Rd, and Main St.
- Fires reported on St. Rte. 139, Lincoln Valleyview St, and Dutch Ridge Rd.
🚶 Crimes & Complaints
June 21:
- Thefts reported on Shady Ln, Covered Bridge Ln, and St. Rte. 335.
- Stolen vehicle reported from Long St.
- Prowlers seen on Whitley Ln and Green St.
- Neighbor dispute on Carver Ridge Rd and fighting on St. Rte. 104.
June 22:
- Theft reported from the Briar Patch on St. Rte. 104 and another incident on Pond Run Rd.
- Domestic issues and suspicious vehicles were investigated on Salters Creek Rd, Kassandra Ct, and Patriot Travel Center.
- 911 hang-up at Shawnee Grocery.
🚗 Traffic & Patrol Activity
Both days were marked by dozens of traffic stops and warnings:
- Saturday saw more than 10 traffic offenses, mostly along Ohio River Rd, St. Rte. 239, and US Hwy 52.
- Sunday continued with numerous traffic warnings near St. Rte. 73, Center St, and Lester St.
There were also several disabled or blocked vehicles and alarm drops, many determined to be false.
