A 13-year-old driver was injured after leading police on a high-speed chase early Friday morning. Officers began the pursuit on Thomas Avenue and followed the young driver onto 17th and then Mabert before the boy turned onto East Bound 52.
The pursuit continued into New Boston and reached speeds of 80 mph as the young driver took the Sciotoville exit.
Officers attempted a PIT maneuver to slow the boy but missed. The chase continued down Lick Ryn Lyra onto Rt. 140 and ended with a rollover crash on Turkey Foot Road.

The young driver was injured, and an ambulance transported him to the hospital. Officers arranged to have the crashed vehicle towed.
