Portsmouth Police investigated a report of three naked guys in an alley and an online dating nightmare. We hit the highlights of the Portsmouth Police Chief’s Daily Briefing.

Disturbing Date Sends Man Kiddie Porn

A nightmare scenario for a man who met a guy on the Grindr dating app. After messaging back and forth, the guy advised him to download an app called Wickr to his phone. 

The man was horrified to discover the app contained child pornography. He said the files had a timer on them and they disappeared after a few minutes.

He gave police the man’s screen name and said he claimed to live in Ravenswood. 

Officers took information for a report. 

Gunshots Reported on Franklin Avenue

Just before 9:30 pm, a caller reported possible gunshots and a loud disturbance in front of a Franklin Avenue home. 

Police took information for a report. 

Suspicious Activity

Just before 10 pm, a Findlay Street caller reported a shirtless man inside Alexandria House. Officers advised him to leave the building.

Just before 11 pm, a caller reported a very unusual sight near Grant and Summit Streets.

They said there were three naked men walking down the alley. Officers arrived at the scene 15 minutes later but were unable to locate the naked guys.

Man Assaulted on 7th Street

A nurse contacted police about a man who claimed a woman and man assaulted him on 7th Street. Police tried to speak to the man about the incident, but he was uncooperative.

He requested to speak to a different officer and then got out of bed and left the hospital without speaking to the police.

His mother asked if she could file a report on his behalf. 

Suspicious Activity

A Spring Street caller reported a man sitting outside a home in a struck all night. The man told police he slept in the truck all night to avoid an issue with his girlfriend. 

Too Many Dogs

Just after 6 am, police investigated a report of a barking dog on Eunice Avenue. Officers said this was a frequent complaint.

The officer said there were several dogs inside the home, and they were going to ask animal control if there was anything that could be done about it.
