3 Separate Families Search for Missing Daughters
Three worried families asked for Portsmouth Police officers to help them locate their missing daughters.
Mom Searches For Missing Daughter
A worried mom contacted the police just after noon. She hadn’t heard from her daughter in several days and she said the daughter had threatened suicide. She took the woman to a local counseling center for treatment but had not heard from her since.
She said someone used her daughter’s debit card at Walmart.
Police investigated and discovered the daughter was not missing and that the Walmart purchase was legitimate. They asked employees of the counseling center to have the woman call her mom.
Daughter Vanishes With Mom’s Food Stamp Card
A woman called the Portsmouth Ohio police at 4:21 pm to report her daughter took her food stamp card and her vehicle to go to the store the night before.
She was supposed to come right back but hadn’t returned. A friend of the mom reported seeing the daughter driving around Wheelersburg with a man in the car.
The Scioto County Sheriff’s Office checked the daughter’s apartment but she wasn’t home. Police advised the woman to report the daughter missing in Wheelersburg since that where she was last seen.
Five hours later the mom found the vehicle at a Charles Street address and retrieved it.
Parents Seek Addict Daughter
Family members of a woman with a drug problem asked police to make contact with her. They last heard from the woman at the beginning of May. She claimed members of a drug cartel were after her for money.
The folks at her last known address said they hadn’t seen her for three days and that she’d mentioned possibly going into rehab.
