Officers Give Homeless Door-Dasher A Break

At 3:30 am, an Armstrong Place caller reported a suspicious van parked near a vacant house.

When officers arrived at the address around 4 am, they spoke with a man who said he lived in the van. He told police he worked as a delivery person for DoorDash and had a hard time finding a legal place to park the man so he could sleep without drawing attention to himself.

Police gave him tips about finding an inconspicuous place to park but also warned him that sleeping in his van could be dangerous, and he should look into alternative options.
