Peggy Lansing was busted during a drug raid on Smokey Hollow Road on Friday night. If that sounds familiar, it’s because that’s the second time this year that a SWAT team has shown up at the 53-year-old woman’s Piketon home. In fact, she was out on bail for charges related to the last raid at her home.
According to Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman and Portsmouth Police Chief Debby Brewer, multiple agencies teamed up as part of the Southern Ohio Organized and Major Crimes Task Force to raid the home in search of illegal drugs.
Investigators got what they came for, finding meth, fentanyl, drug paraphernalia, cash, and a firearm at the scene.
Pretty much the same thing happened back in mid-March of last year when the task force seized cocaine, meth, heroin, $22,534, and several vehicles at the home.
Mrs. Lansing at her husband, Brad, were both arrested back in March, and she was released on bail after spending three days behind bars. Because of the firearm in the home, police arrested Peggy Lansing for having a weapon under a disability.
Task Force Agents will present additional evidence to the Pike County Grand Jury for consideration of additional charges.
Sheriff Thoroughman requests anyone wishing to leave drug information for the Organized & Major Crimes Task Force should phone the Task Force tip line at (740) 354-5656 or email drugs@sciotocountysheriff.com. All information will be kept confidential and anonymous.
