Deputies and Medics responded to a tense situation on Twin Creek Road just before 1:30 am. And once again, personnel dealt with the first responder shortage.
A woman contacted law enforcement to report her former boyfriend had refused to leave her residence. Five minutes later, she reported he was attempting to harm himself in the front yard. The man then climbed to a top of a tree.
Deputies requested help from EMS. The Fire Department acknowledged the page at 2 pm and asked Jefferson Township in Adams County to send help to get the man from the tree. Adams County said no one was available to help.

Eventually, they were able to get the man down and transport him to the hospital.
