The Scioto County Grand Jury returned indictments against a 35-year-old woman accused of assaulting a disabled person.
Jamey Addington faces five counts of assault, five counts of patient abuse, and charges of patient endangerment and failing to provide for a functionally impaired person.
Officers arrested Addington after they said her abuse of a disabled person was caught on video.
It started two months ago when police and EMS responded to Wheelersburg for a report of an injured non-verbal disabled individual.
An ambulance transported the patient to the hospital, and the Special Victims Unit launched an investigation.
Officers spoke to family members and reviewed video from inside the home of the alleged abuse.
Officers headed to Portsmouth and arrested Addington.
