Adult Probation Finds “ICE” on Duck Run Rd
A Lucasville woman has been charged with drug possession by Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman and Portsmouth Police Chief Debby Brewer.
The arrest is a result of the involvement of the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force and the Scioto County Common Pleas Court Adult Probation Department.
On Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at approximately 9:50 a.m., law enforcement responded to 851A Duck Run Road Lucasville, Ohio. The Adult Probation Department in Scioto County contacted the task force detectives when they found suspected methamphetamine (also known as ice).
Further investigation and search by detectives and officers yielded (52) grams of suspected methamphetamine, small packages of powder, digital scales, and additional items linked to drug trafficking. The street value of the seized meth seems to be around $2,080.
Maudie Lynn Tomblin, the age of 59, was arrested by the department of probation for violating probation. Tomblin was also charged with Possession of Drugs, a felony in the second degree.
Tomblin is currently being remanded to the Scioto County Jail, and arraignment is scheduled for Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at around 9 a.m.
A Scioto County Grand Jury could consider additional felony drug charges against Tomblin upon receipt of the case against her from the Scioto County Prosecutor’s Office.
