Alyce Jewell McGraw, 86 of West Portsmouth, went to be with her Lord on August 12, 2021, at SOMC Hospice. She was born March 10, 1935, in Portsmouth to the late Stanley and Opal Kennedy Mershon. She was a homemaker and a member of Dry Run Mission Church. She loved gardening, cooking, and sewing for her grandkids. She attended all their sporting events and concerts and especially loved celebrating all the grandchildren’s birthdays
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Grant McGraw, a daughter Melissa J. Mcgraw, an infant granddaughter, Chloe Adkins, a brother Stanley Mershon, and 2 sisters; Betty Bricker and Dorothy O’Dell.
Alyce is survived by 5 daughters; Pamela Lutz, Robin (Tom) Dixon, Linda Curtis (John Campbell), Tammy (Martin) Smith, and Jody (Trampas) Puckett, 2 sisters; Barbara Beasley and Connie (John) Ridout, 10 grandchildren; Amanda Adkins, Seth Dixon, Hannah Dixon, Kayla Curtis, Billie Curtis, Alexandra Puckett, Caitlyn Puckett, Macy Puckett, Zachary Smith and Marty Smith, 4 great-grandchildren and one on the way; Leland Simpson, Bradyn Adkins, Emma Adkins, and Jepson Curtis.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday, August 16, 2021, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday starting at 11:00 AM. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
