Animals Seized, Vehicle Towed, Ambulance Called After Incident with Code Enforcement

Portsmouth has stepped up efforts to clean up the area, with code enforcement making regular visits to trashy houses, non-running vehicles, and homeless encampments.

One of those calls led to a lot of drama on 5th Street in Sciotoville. Just after 1 p.m., code enforcement contacted officers to report that people on the scene were being uncooperative.

Officers ended up calling an ambulance to the scene for a person in distress and also sent for animal control to take possession of some critters at the scene.

They also arranged for a vehicle to be towed.
