Armed and Dangerous Inmate Escapes Mental Hospital

Law enforcement officers are warning citizens to be on the lookout for a dangerous escapee from a mental health facility.

Officials say 38-year-old Jacob Davidson escaped from the Twin Valley Behavioral Health Hospital in Columbus on Thursday evening.

Davidson was arrested back in November after a shootout with deputies in Crawford County. A grand jury indicted him for felonious assault, discharging a firearm on/or near a prohibited premises, disrupting public services, and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle. The court ordered him held in jail on a $2 million bond.

However, he was transferred to a mental health facility on November 20 and subsequently escaped. Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Davidson is described as a white male, 38 years of age, 5’11” tall, weighing 160 lbs. with blue eyes. He was last known to have unkempt brown hair with a full beard.

If you spot Davidson, call 9-1-1 immediately.
