Deputies responded to several reports of individuals under the influence out in the county.
Just after 7 am, a caller reported an apparently intoxicated person driving a silver Prius on St. Rte. 335 near the KwiK Stop. Deputies were unable to locate the person.
Half an hour later, a call came in from Divide Hill to report another apparently high individual running into traffic.
At 9 am, deputies responded to a report of someone passed out behind the wheel of a Black Dodge on Riddlebarger Road. Officers took a man and a woman into custody and transported them to the jail.
Yet another call about an apparently altered driver on St. Rte. 139 came in just before 2 pm. A caller reported a man nodding off while pumping gas into a silver Honda at Kenny’s Convenient Mart. The man left before officers could locate him.
A Lucasville caller reported two men staggering down an alley on Cottonwood Avenue at 5 pm. The caller said one of the men was lying in the alley and had possibly overdosed.
A Great Meadow Road resident arrived home to find a stranger passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle in his driveway. The resident was unable to get down his own driveway.
Deputies responded to the scene and took the man into custody before arranging to have the vehicle towed.
Another report of a suspicious individual came in at 8:41 am. This time a caller said a man was walking down US23. When a deputy caught up with the man, it turned out he was walking to work at McDonald’s. The deputy gave him a ride.
