Assault at Portsmouth Raceway Park
An out-of-control teen assaulted his parents at Portsmouth Raceway Park late Friday evening. Just after 1:30 am, the boy’s parents said they caught him drinking, and he fought with his family.
An officer located the boy at the park and put him in a squad. The parents said they believed the behavior was a result of the boy mixing alcohol with his anti-depressants medication.
His parents decided to take him home and let him sleep it off.
Cows, Goat, and Dog Run Loose on Swauger Valley Road
Once again, officers were back on Swauger Valley Road to respond to a complaint about cows running loose.
This time, the cows were joined by a goat and a dog. An annoyed neighbor contacted deputies at 3:38 pm to report the animals running wild.
When a deputy responded to the scene, they noted that the animals were out of the road. They attempted to contact the dog warden, but the office only comes out on the weekends for bites.
A deputy contacted the owners of the animals and told them to come get their cows.
Overdose on Scioto Street
Just after 6 pm on Monday, witnesses reported an unresponsive man lying near a red Pontiac on Scioto Street.
Dispatch called for an ambulance, and a few minutes later, another caller called to say the man had likely overdosed, and they weren’t sure if he was breathing.
When medics arrived on the scene, the victim refused treatment. However, a family member said they would take him to the hospital instead.
