PPD responded to the Sciotoville Fire Department after a report of an assault in progress just before 11 a.m.
When officers arrived on the scene, the victim said he was assaulted but did not want to press charges. An officer gave him a ride to his mother’s home in Portsmouth.
Fire Department employees declined to press charges, but police spoke with the other half of the incident and told them to stay away from the victim. The aggressors apologized for their behavior at the firehouse.
