Bad Batch of Drugs Prompts Panic

Portsmouth Police Officers headed out to the Woodbine Apartments on Kendall Avenue after they received a concerning call from the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office.

A detective said a man had come into the Sheriff’s Office and started “talking crazy” about his mother. The detective feared he may have harmed her.

Officers headed to her home to check in on her. They discovered the woman was fine. She told officers her son had gotten into a bad batch of drugs. The son said he did not want to harm himself or anyone else.
