A man contacted law enforcement after he said his mom’s ex-boyfriend broke into her house and was still there. He told police the man had never lived there.
When officers arrived at the home, they found the former boyfriend carrying a laundry basket. The mom said the man had come to the residence and was banging on the door. She didn’t hear him because she had music up, so he’d let himself in by pushing an air conditioner out of a window.
He then grabbed her by the shoulder and screamed at her. When she tried to call 9-1-1 he took her phone away from her. She did manage to get it back, so she texted her kids to call for help. She said the man then pinned her down and threatened her.
Officers noted the man had only left the residence a few weeks ago, so it was still listed on his driver’s license. Officers took him into custody for domestic violence.
