Barbara D. Haynes, 63 of West Portsmouth, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at SOMC Hospice. She was born July 7,1962 in Lucasville, to the late Ernest and Louella Pyle Brigner.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Keith and Bryan Brigner and 2 sisters; Rita McCune and Jeanne Cole.
Barbara worked at Washington-Nile School District as a Cook. She enjoyed the people she worked with. She was a social butterfly. She always put other people first ahead of herself. She also loved to dance and sing.
Barbara is survived by her husband Eddie Haynes, whom she married on April 11, 1981, a son Edward Alan (Becky) Haynes, a daughter Misty Diane (Jeromie)Pollard, 4 brothers; Eddie, Mike, Lowell and Ronnie Brigner, 4 sisters; Shirley Thompson, Donna Robinson, Sheila Graham and Anna Millwood, along with 4 grandchildren; Oliver Reid Haynes, Owen James Haynes, Blake Andrew Pollard and Balen Asher Pollard.
There will be a visitation from 1 to 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in west Portsmouth. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to SOMC Hospice in Barbara’s name.
