Barbara J. Crisp Hook, 81, of South Shore, KY., went to be with her Lord Thursday, May 22, 2025, at South Shore Nursing & Rehab in South Shore, KY. She was born in Fullerton, KY., June 27, 1943, a daughter of the late Raymond and Hilda Walker Crisp.
Barbara was of the Baptist Faith. She was a 1961 McKell High School Graduate where she was Valedictorian and served as class president, the former instructor at Paramount Beauty Academy and owner-stylist at Barbara Jeans Beauty Salon in South Shore, KY. Barbara loved nature, birds, flowers and creating beautiful floral arrangements. She tenderly loved her family and community.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia Shover and Lillian Stevens; two brothers, Donald Crisp and Raymond Crisp.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 65 years, Clarence Hook; one son, Chris (Lisa) Hook of South Shore, KY; one daughter, Kim (Tim) Schuh of Gainesville, FL; eleven grandchildren, Cassidy, Ashley, Brooke(Brett), Taylor (EJ), Stevie, Aleah, Megan (Matthew), Allison (Hank), Victoria, Eva and Jake; along with several great-grandchildren, family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with Tim Underwood, Tim Wright and Rex Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Siloam Cemetery in South Shore, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday at the funeral home from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. and 1 hour before the service on Wednesday.
