Wandering Child
It’s not all bad new in the Southern Ohio Crime Watch. It’s also not all about Ohio. A happy ending to what could have been a frightening story. The boy pictured in this photo was found walking along on Perry Street in Greenup, Kentucky. As you can tell, the child was barefoot. Greenup officers said they checked all of the houses on the street in hopes of finding the parents but didn’t have any luck.
So, they reached out to the public on Facebook for help. They also reminded citizens to be kind. “Please refrain from derogatory comments on this post, let’s work together on this issue.”
Over a hundred people chimed in on social media. While some bashed the parents, others said they’d raised their own little escape artists and understood how kids can get out.
The boy’s parents were located. One of the people who helped out the lost boy, reported, “Parents have been found. The boy was left with a baby sitter while the mom was at work. This was right in front of my house. The baby was not bruised he had a fresh diaper and seemed very happy. We gave him a new train set and a Lunchable while they located his mommy. So glad this didn’t turn out badly.”
