Seneak Avenue neighbors in Franklin Furnace called 911 just after 8 p.m. to report an unwelcome visitor. The caller said a black bear came onto their front porch.

A few minutes later, the bear walked over to say hello to the neighbors. Dispatch contacted ODNR and issued a BOLO for the bear.
Officers patrolled the area, but didn’t spot the bear. Dispatch warned neighbors to be careful.
