Bloody, Barefoot Man Spotted Yelling on 23rd Street 

Just after 2 pm, officers received a report of a barefoot man with bleeding legs walking down 23rd Street while yelling. Callers said the man was headed towards Kinneys Lane. 

An officer caught up with the man in the 2100 block of Micklethwaite and learned he’d just been released from the hospital and suffered from severe blistering on his legs and feet.  

An officer gave the man a ride to his brother’s apartment in Farley Square, where he planned to wait for a ride home to McDermott from his mother. 

Man Chased by Scooter Rider 

Just after midnight, a man claimed that an unknown person on a motor scooter had attempted to hit him. He said that the man had been after him for a few days, claiming he had stolen a bicycle from him. 

He claimed he didn’t know the name of his attacker and did not wish to file a report. However, he wanted the officer to check the area and make sure he was able to leave without being chased by the scooter rider.   

Overdose on Selma Avenue 

EMS and officers responded to a report of an overdose victim with no pulse on Selma Avenue just before 10 am.  

By the time officers arrived on the scene, the victim was alert and had left the scene without further medical treatment.  

Dumpster Diver Claims Man Tried To Run Him Over, Fights Back With Chain 

Dumpster diving led to an all-out brawl on Kendall Avenue just after 5 am. A caller reported an SUV was ramming a dumpster in an attempt to hit a man.  

When officers arrived at the scene, the dumpster diver said he was digging in a dumpster when the SUV driver tried to hit him. 

The SUV driver said the dumpster diver hit his windshield with a chain. No one was injured, and neither party wanted to press charges.
