The Ironton Police Department has reported the discovery of a body in Storms Creek on Saturday morning.
At approximately 7:15 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area across from Moulton’s Field. Upon arrival, law enforcement found the body of a female submerged face down in the water, the police department confirmed.
The Ironton side of Moltens Field has a baseball field, playground, picnic shelters, and football and soccer fields.
As of now, no details regarding the individual’s identity have been disclosed.
To determine the cause of death, the body will be transported to the Montgomery County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
