Body Discovered In Willow Way Home

A body was discovered in a Willow Way home in Portsmouth, Ohio on New Year’s Day. The unusually active day saw Portsmouth Police respond to two DOAs, 7 overdoses, multiple fights, and a couple of guys who didn’t mind dropping trou and taking a dump in front of railroad workers.

Car on Fire

At 1:14 am, a caller reported a vehicle on fire at the Park and Ride. The Ohio State Patrol responded to the call.

Hey, That’s My Stuff

Breaking and Entering At Home

Police responded to Summit Street for a report of a drunken man who forced entry into his own apartment and damaged a window. His girlfriend arrived and said she’d look after him.

Stranger at the Door

A stranger showed up at the door of a 6th Street home just before 4:30 pm. The man told police he thought he was at a friend’s house.

Officers advised him to stay off other people’s property.

Under The Influence

DOA

At 12:30 pm, officers answered a call for a possible overdose on the Scioto Trail. At 12:36 pm, medics advised police the man was dead.

The coroner arrived to pick up the body at 1:30 pm.

DOA: Part 2

First Responders answered a call to Willow Way to check on an elderly resident at 2:47 pm. They forced entry and discovered the woman had died.

Officers contacted a family member.  After the body was removed, they resecured the residence.

Take Your Crap Somewhere Else

Norfolk Southern Railroad called police at 5:47 pm to report 2 guys hanging out on railroad property. The men were watching the workers and also reported defecated on the property.

Officers advised the men to leave.
