Body Discovered on 17th Street
Just before 4 pm, officers responded to a report of an overdose on 17th Street. Witnesses said the victim was unresponsive.
Police and EMS responded to the scene, and medics confirmed that the victim was indeed deceased. Officers contacted a detective and the coroner.
The coroner took possession of the deceased, and detectives gathered information for a report.
Officers Search For Suicidal Woman
A worried husband contacted police just before 9 pm to report that his wife had threatened to kill herself with heroin.
He said she took their vehicle and took off in the direction of McDonald’s. Officers checked the area but were not able to locate the woman.
They advised the man to call them if she returned.
Man Overdoses in 7th Street Backyard
Just after noon, officers responded to a 7th Street home for a report of an overdosed man in a backyard.
Medics tended to the victim, and officers discovered drug paraphernalia and drugs in the victim’s vehicle. Officers impounded the items and sent the to BCI for testing.
