A worried coworker called 911 at 8:30 am after a fellow employee did not show up for work. They said the coworker was very dependable, and it was not like them to just not show up for work.
A few minutes later, they called back to say they’d found their coworker on the floor and feared they were deceased.
Officers and EMTs responded to the scene, and medics confirmed the resident was dead. PPD contacted the Scioto County Coroner’s Office and the next of kin.

The coroner’s office sent a transport to take possession of the deceased, and officers handed over their valuables to the next of kin.
Officers made sure the residence was secured before they left.
