Police Investigate After Boy Emails Teacher For Help

Teens Run Out of Gas and Into Trouble

Two teenage girls found themselves in big trouble just before 9:30 pm when they contacted 911 to report that they had run out of gas. The girls were from Pomeroy and not familiar with the area.

When officers met up with the girls on Lyons Road, they learned they were not supposed to have the vehicle, and their families did not know they were there.

Officers took the girls back to the station and contacted Meigs County CPS. Workers arrived to pick the girls up just before 6 am.

Police Investigate After Boy Emails Teacher For Help

A worried teacher asked officers to check on the welfare of a child after a student sent an email saying “help me.” The teacher attempted to call the home, but someone picked up the phone and hung up.

When officers responded to the home, they learned the child had lost their TV privileges for lying to their mother and emailed the teacher in anger.

Officers determined everything was good at the home.
