BREAKING NEWS: Teenager Fatally Shot

Deadly Shooting

Just before 1 am on Saturday morning an urgent call went out regarding a 19-year-old male who had been shot in the neck on Aaron Rd.

Members of the Minford EMS were dispatched to the scene and their backup unit was activated to be on standby.

While responders were on the way to the scene they were told the teen was unresponsive and that CPR was being performed.

Authorities then advised that the young man was, in fact, deceased.

Sheriff’s deputies were advised that the possible suspect may have fled the scene. He was only described as a white male wearing all black.

Chief Deputy Blaine Duduit arrived at the scene as well as Scioto County Sheriff  David Thoroughman. A request for BCI was made.

Several more deputies converged on the scene and then set out to search several homes around the county. Portsmouth PD assisted with a notification in the city limits.

3 people were taken from the scene for further questioning.

At 8:45 am BCI cleared the scene. We are now awaiting an official press release from the Sheriff’s Office.
