Breaking Now: Stabbing Reported in Sciotoville

Shortly after 1 pm on Tuesday, Portsmouth Police, Fire, and Medics responded to a reported stabbing on Kentland Ave.

The victim went across the street for help and stated his attacker was still in the area and had entered a nearby apartment.

The victim was able to give the police some initial information. However, the injuries sustained prompted the EMS to request Air Evac to land at East High School Stadium. There was no lockdown order for the school.

The victim named his attacker. However, the scene is still very active. We are unsure who was the aggressor and if this was an assault or self-defense.

The scene remains very active and we will update as more details become available.

In addition, we are still working to obtain the details of a possible “machete attack” in Portsmouth last night. SCDN head writer, Cyn Mackley, is in contact with the Portsmouth Police Department for more details.
