A late-night argument on Campbell Avenue ended with a brick through a window — but no arrest.
Portsmouth police were called after a neighbor reported seeing two people throw a brick through the window of a nearby home.
Officers quickly located a man and woman near Gallia and Campbell.
Police advised the woman of her rights and questioned her about the complaint.
According to the report, she admitted throwing the brick through the window and told officers the house belonged to her boyfriend.
She said the two had been arguing and she broke the window out of anger.
The boyfriend told police he did not want to pursue charges.
So after a brick through the glass, a police response, and a confession, the couple simply left the area together.
No report was taken at that time.
