Bullying Drives West Portsmouth Child To Breaking Point

Just after 12:30 pm, deputies received a complaint that a West Portsmouth grade school student had threatened self-harm after bullying at school.

The child’s guardian said he was at the school attempting to speak to the principal but the principal would not come out to talk with him. The upset caller said it was an ongoing issue.

When a deputy arrived on the scene, the man declined to speak with him. Instead, he chose to sign the child out of school and later speak to a supervisor.
