Caller Reports Man Carrying Body Into New Boston Home
Portsmouth Police came to the assistance of New Boston Officers around 1 am, when a caller reported seeing a man carrying what appeared to be a body into a home on Rhodes Avenue.
The caller reported the man had been digging all day in his basement. Officers responded to the home, and the resident gave them permission to search.
There was no sign of anything unusual in the basement.
Strange Behavior at Sleep Outfitters
Just before 9 pm, a witness reported a bald man carrying a giant piece of cardboard throwing stuff at the window of Sleep Outfitters on 11th Street.
When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered a homeless man with a giant cardboard box. He said he was planning on using the cardboard to make a tent. Police said nothing at the business appeared damaged.
Officers advised him to stay out of parks and away from businesses. The man moved along with his cardboard without incident.
