Carl Wayne “Bunken” Morman, 81, of South Shore, KY., passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2023, at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth, OH. He was born in Fullerton, KY., the son of the late Carl and Bessie Clark Morman.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Ginny Keibler; one brother, Denver Ray Morman; and two nieces, Sally Coleman and Marsha Stewart.
Bunken retired from CSX Railroad and loved to sing karaoke, but most of all he was known for his years and dedication to the Little Leagues around the area umpiring baseball and softball games.
Surviving are his sweetheart Patricia “Patty” Staker; three nieces, Angie (Steve) McClurg of South Shore, KY., Rhonda Thompson of South Shore, KY., and Connie Keibler of Greenup, KY; two nephews, Danny Coleman of South Shore, KY., and Doug Morman of TN. He also leaves behind many other family and friends who will sadly miss him. Bunken will be forever loved and always in our hearts.
Funeral services will be at 1 P.M. Monday, December 18, 2023, at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with Minister Mike Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Siloam Cemetery in South Shore, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday at the funeral home from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.
