Carryout Employees Intervene When Stranger Calls Kids to Car

6th street carryout

Employees at the Sixth Street Carryout came to the rescue when two young kids told them a guy tried to get him to come over to them while they were walking to school.

The children were frightened and ran into the store. An employee escorted the kids to school safely while another called the police.

An employee told officers they argued with the guy and that he lived across the street from the carryout.  Officers determined that the guy yelled at the kids to “come over here” and waved them over.  At that point, the kids got scared and ran into the store. Officers noted the information but did not file a criminal complaint.

Later that evening, the same guy returned to the store and began harassing customers. However, by the time officers arrived, he’d left, and they couldn’t find him.
