Central Ohio Plans for Terrorist Attack Exercises on Saturday

Massive training exercises are planned throughout central Ohio by the Franklin County Emergency Management Department and Homeland Security.

The local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies will be working together this Saturday to respond to a fake terror attack.

Seven different locations throughout Franklin County will host these training exercises.

In addition to Crew Stadium, Bolton Airport, and Newport Music Hall, there will be action around the county.

Ohio Emergency Management Agency and Homeland Security are taking every precaution to ensure that the public remains safe.

Signs will be placed in and around these areas, and they’ve notified all emergency services. Whenever 911 centers receive calls from concerned citizens, they contact the command center immediately to determine if the call requires a response or whether to assure the caller about training exercises.

Saturday will be the training day. It will run from 8 am to 4 pm.
