Charles (Chuck) T. Horton, age 81, of Canal Winchester, Ohio, formally of Wheelersburg, Ohio passed away Monday July 27, 2026, at Licking Memorial Hospital.
Born on February 11, 1945, in Portsmouth, Ohio, Charles was the beloved son of the late Ray and Irene (Eastwood) Horton. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, carrying with him a deep sense of patriotism and dedication throughout his life.
Chuck found joy in the simple pleasures that brought family and friends together. He enjoyed coloring, cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Reds, golfing, and traveling. Whether watching a game, spending time outdoors, or sharing stories with loved ones, Chuck appreciated every opportunity to create lasting memories with those he cared about.
Above all, Chuck was devoted to his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Horton; his sons, Brian (Angel) Horton of Grove City, Ohio; Michael (Lea) Horton of Southern Leyte, Philippines; and his daughter, Lisa (Kristopher) Rawlins of Carroll, Ohio.
He is also survived by his sister Connie (Bob) Pratt; brother-in-law, Ron Gulley; his cherished grandchildren, Alexandria Horton, Savanah Horton, Olivia Horton, Kayla Poellnitz, Corey Furr, Maleeah Geyer, Alicia Horton, Amelia Horton, Nicole (Kirk) Davis, Megan Goodman, Warren Rawlins, Ryan Rawlins, Katelyn (Payton) Carpenter; and his beloved great-grandchildren, Aubree, Junior, Brody, Colby, Arlee, Riley and Wrenlee
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Irene Horton; his sisters, Rosena Raike and Shirley Gulley.
Chuck will be remembered for his kind heart, his love of family, his quiet strength, and the many moments of laughter and happiness he shared with those around him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Funeral Service will take place Monday, August 03, 2026, 1:00 PM at D.W. Swick & Son Funeral and Cremation Services in Wheelersburg with Lawrence Harris officiating; interment to follow at Memorial Burial Park, Military Honors provided by American Legion- James Dickey Post #23. Visitation for family and friends is 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, prior to the Funeral Service.
