Charlotte Swords, age 67, of Portsmouth, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026. Born on June 26, 1958, Charlotte was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.
Charlotte was the cherished daughter of Donald and Ruby (Nee Jones) Daniels and devoted wife to Gerald Swords, with whom she celebrated 45 wonderful years of marriage on February 14, 2026.
A loving mother, Charlotte found boundless joy in being a mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her grandkids, taking them to the park, and creating cherished memories that will be forever held in the hearts of her family.
Charlotte was known for her generous spirit and empathetic nature. She enjoyed caring for her home and family, always ensuring that those around her felt loved and supported. Whether through camping trips or simply enjoying moments spent together, she truly valued her time with family and friends.Charlotte’s spirit of adventure led her to embrace life’s experiences with enthusiasm, always eager to get out and about.
Her laughter and love will be deeply missed by her family, including her husband Gerald, her children: Jessica Swords of West Portsmouth, Gerald “Eddie” (Stacy) Swords of Otway, and Chris Craft of Wheelersburg; her grandchildren: Abbie and Ayden Collins of West Portsmouth, Haliegh and Maddison Pace of Otway, and Amiyah Craft of Wheelersburg who will forever remember her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Ruby (Nee Jones) Daniels; one brother, Brian Daniels and one sister Sue Daniels.In this time of sorrow, we remember Charlotte’s compassion and warmth, whose legacy of love will live on through her family and all who were fortunate to know her.
