Officers were called to a group home just after 11 am for a report of a runaway child. Staff said a 13-year-old left at 10:30 am and hadn’t returned. However, the child returned while police were at the facility taking a report.

About an hour later, the facility called back to say the child had assaulted staff members. Officers took the child to the station to interview her.
They returned her to the group home about an hour later.
