A call about a group of teenagers allegedly tormenting kids with a dog ended with a woman under arrest on a child-endangering charge.
Portsmouth police were called to 17th and Kendall after a woman reported that five or six teens were causing a disturbance and bothering children with a dog.
Officers initially reported they were unable to locate the group.
A short time later, police had one woman in custody.
Martha Collins was arrested on a charge of endangering children and booked into the Scioto County Jail.
The available police log does not explain exactly what Collins allegedly did, how she was connected to the teenagers, or what role the dog played in the incident.
Collins later appeared in Portsmouth Municipal Court and was released on her own recognizance.
Her next hearing is scheduled for December 10.
The charge is an allegation, and Collins is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
