Child Hit in Face With Pipe at Wayne Hills Playground

Wayne Hills

A child was hit in the face with a pipe at a Wayne Hills playground around 8 pm on Sunday.

The 8-year-old boy’s grandmother contacted the police and requested an ambulance for the child.

Although the incident appeared to be an accident, she said the other child, aged 10, caused constant problems by being a bully. She did not want to press charges, but she did ask that officers speak to the parents of the other child.

Police spoke to the 10-year-old’s parent and were advised they would handle the matter.

Elderly Woman Assaulted

Just before midnight, a woman reported two individuals who were staying in a shed behind her mother’s home on Brady Creek Road assaulted the elderly woman.

The caller said the pair broke out her mother’s windows. Deputies spoke to the couple and also responded to the ER.
