Just after 3 pm, deputies and EMS responded to a report of an ATV accident on Gephart Road. The caller said an injured child was slipping in and out of consciousness, and they would meet an ambulance in the parking lot at Gampps BP.
When EMS arrived on the scene, they requested an air ambulance and deputies helped set up a landing zone at a nearby ball field. The ambulance transported the child to the landing zone and an air ambulance transported the patient to a Huntington Hospital.
