Child Sexual Exploitation Charges Filed Against Greenup County Man
A long investigation relating to charges of child sexual abuse material led a KSP team, 14 detectives, and officers from the Ashland Police Department to investigate Robert Adams at his Flatwoods home yesterday.
Upon discovery that the suspect was downloading images of child exploitation, the investigation began. Law enforcement technology indicated that unsavory activity was coming from an IP address belonging to Robert Adams age 48.
A search warrant was obtained and served at the residence of Mr. Adams.
Equipment used in the crime has been seized and will be examined by Ashland Police Department.
Adams is currently charged with (6) six counts of Possess/View Matter Portray Sexual Performance By a Minor, (6) six counts of Promoting A Minor U/16 In A Sex Performance and (1) once count of Distribution Of Matter Portraying Sex Performance By A Minor -1st Offense.
The investigation is ongoing, and Detective Boarman is handling it
