Child Taken Into Custody After Bomb Threat at Portsmouth Schools
Portsmouth Schools went into lockdown mode on Thursday afternoon after a bomb threat, and many parents panicked when they were unable to pick up their children from the High & Middle School campus.
Fortunately, there was no bomb found. Police took a juvenile into custody and contacted the child’s mother. They then took the child to the police station.
Bullies Make Student Afraid To Go To School
Portsmouth Police Officers received a report about bullies harassing a child just after 3 pm. The caller also said the harassment made the child afraid to attend school.
Police spoke to the children involved in the harassment and advised them to leave the area and not come back. Additionally, PPD contacted the school resource officer to advise them of the situation.
Officers told the family to call the police should the bullies return.
Mom Threatened Over Son’s Actions
A mom contacted officers to report she was being harassed due to the behavior of her son.
She told police a woman was threatening her because her son had stabbed another boy. Police took information for a report.
