Portsmouth Police Officers had a hard time figuring out to do with kids they took into custody at a traffic stop. Children Services in two counties refused to take them. For Giving, Not Taking

Just after midnight, a caller reported that someone attempting to damage donation bins on Gay Street.

Officers advised a person on the scene to stay out of donation boxes.

Against Her Will

A caller asked police to make contact with a woman just after 8:30 pm. She said the woman’s boyfriend was keeping her and her five-year-old son against there will. She said the man had taken the woman’s phone and wouldn’t allow her to talk.

A few minutes later she called back and said to disregard the call. The woman was fine.
