The Main Street Portsmouth In Bloom Farmers Market kicks off the season on Saturday, May 18, from 9:00 a.m. to noon on the Roy Rogers Esplanade. Opening Day features performances by Portsmouth’s Cirque d’Art Theatre at 11:00 a.m.

Cirque d’Art Theatre specializes in dance, ballet, tumbling, and aerial acrobatics. The studio serves over 300 students yearly, children and adults alike. Representatives will be available to discuss upcoming shows, Summer Camps, and Fall Classes.

If it rains, the performance will be canceled. Opening Day is one of five Market Prize Wheel Days, and $400 worth of Voucher Cards redeemable with Vendors will be distributed.

Southern Ohio Medical Center and King’s Daughters Medical Center sponsor the Healthy Bucks Voucher Card program, which was established in 2023, while Scioto County Commissioners sponsor the Scioto Bucks Voucher Card program.

Two free raffles for Voucher Cards will be held on Opening Day. Market Wheel prizes include Voucher Cards, Tote Bags, T-shirts, Discount Cards, Tote Bags, Gourmet Popcorn, and more!

Shoppers who buy from three Vendors receive a spin of the Prize Wheel. Children and Seniors get a free spin; no purchase is needed.

Market Prize Wheel Days are on May 18, June 29, July 27, August 24, and September 28. Family-friendly Special Events will be offered each Saturday. The market is closed on Memorial Day weekend and on August 31 for Portsmouth’s River Days Festival and Parade. MSPIB Farmers Market Closing Day is October 5.
