The claws came out during a dispute over fingernails at the Snappy Nails Salon on 11th Street.
Officers were called to the store just before 6 pm when a customer demanded to speak to an officer about the behavior of salon employees. She described the employees to the officer as “aggressive and rude.”
She said she was unhappy with her manicure and asked the employee to change it. She said the employee ignored her request and just kept working away on her nails. She said the employee then cut her nails off and told her to leave.
The woman refused to leave because she was with her minor cousin who was still having her nails done.
Employees told police that the women had their nails done but were unhappy with the job and did not want to pay. The employee said that since the pair didn’t want to pay, the salon chose to cut off the nails. The salon just wanted the two women to leave.
