Just before 10 am, a caller reported several squatters inside a condemned house on 6th Street. The caller said the owner was in a nursing home. Officers checked the house, but could night find anyone inside at that time. They did contact Any Gedeon from Portsmouth Code Enforcement to tell him the home needed to be boarded up again and warned him that individuals might be living inside.
At 10 pm, a caller reported people had broken into another condemned house with flashlights. Police found a woman on the front porch who said she was getting her belongings from inside.
Police advised her of the consequences of criminal trespass and gave her an hour to get her things from the yard.
