Confused Portsmouth Woman Found Wandering in Waverly
Waverly Police Officers contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office to report they found a confused woman wandering in the county. They said she lived in Portsmouth.
Waverly PD reported she was checked out by a squad but was in need of a ride home. Deputies met up with Waverly PD at the county line and transported the woman to the Kroger in Portsmouth.
Another confused Portsmouth resident was returned home after a caller from Adena Medical Center reported that an elderly Portsmouth man had come to the hospital but wasn’t sure why he was there.
They contacted Ross County Law Enforcement, who took possession of the man’s dog and asked Portsmouth PD to attempt to locate his relatives.
Officials were able to make contact with his granddaughter.
